FARM to FASHION
Since 1997 Of The Earth's production and design team has been traveling extensively throughout mainland China creating joint venture partnerships with farms, mills and factories. The decision to start producing in China was made for quality, capacity and and global economic reasons. Social and political issues were, however, a serious concern to our founders, employees, customers, vendors, shareholders, and community. After thoughtful consideration, Of The Earth was satisfied that manufacturing in China was a good decision on a social and environmental level. The conditions within the facilities are very clean, well lit, orderly and the equipment is modern. Employees work in eight-hour shifts, unless they choose to work overtime for a competitive market wage. Meals are provided by the factory, and are taken together. There is no child labor, children are only on the premises after school, and only to meet with and spend time with their mothers and fathers.

Relationships with our joint-venture certified organic farms, mills and factories in China provide the Company with a consistent supply of quality raw materials. Of The Earth benefits from direct farm, mill and factory relationships established over 8 years of extensive travel in China.
